C++ Software-Entwickler (m/w/d)

Stop Hiding Behind the Screen. Build Software That Matters.

Most dev jobs promise "disruption." This one actually impacts human health. We are partnering with a top-tier digital health pioneer to find a C++ veteran.

This isn't a cozy remote gig where you blend into a massive corporate machine. It is a 100% on-site, high-stakes mission in Eggenfelden, Germany. You will be one of exactly three developers steering a massive, certified platform used by dental practices nationwide. We want someone who wants to take total ownership of their code.

The Mission & The Reality

You aren't just writing shiny greenfield code; you are adopting a critical, highly-ranked legacy codebase and making it sing. You must respect the old while engineering the new. It takes a specific kind of developer to own the entire software lifecycle, write certifiable C++ code, design complex PostgreSQL databases, and collaborate seamlessly in a highly agile, two-person room. If you are afraid of getting your hands dirty with legacy architecture, look away now.

The Absolute Non-Negotiables

Let’s save each other time. Do not apply unless you meet every single one of these criteria. There is zero flexibility on these requirements:

  • Location: 100% on-site in Eggenfelden, Germany. Remote, hybrid, or home office is completely off the table.

  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of hardcore, professional C++ development.

  • Language: C2 German (native-level fluency) and C1 English.

  • Data & Tools: Deep SQL/PostgreSQL skills and Git proficiency.

  • Education: A Master’s degree (M.A., M.Sc., or equivalent) is strictly required.

  • Attitude: You do not run from legacy code; you take pride in optimizing it.

The Reward & The Impact

If you have the grit, the curiosity, and the skill to pass the rigorous hiring process, which includes a three-day on-site trial to prove your technical mettle, the payoff is exceptional:

  • Compensation: €65,000 – €90,000 base salary plus a highly lucrative 15% bonus.

  • Stability: A permanent, full-time contract in a resilient, future-proof industry.

  • Time Off: 26 days of annual leave (25 + 1).

  • Environment: State-of-the-art infrastructure where your direct input shapes a top-7 national medical product.

Think you can handle the pressure and deliver code that truly matters? Prove it. Apply directly at careers@protodigy.com.
