We are representing a premier Berlin-based AI entity on a mission to merge general intelligence with the physical world. We need a master synthesizer. A Director of Embodied AI & Spatial Systems who can blend deep learning, robotics, and spatial computing to give our models a body and a sense of space. You will weave the complex tapestry where digital reasoning becomes physical action. Our client doesn't care if you're in a Berlin studio or a beach shack, as long as you can bridge that digital-physical divide from the ultimate comfort of your home.

The Tapestry You Will Weave (What You’ll Do)
You won't just be leading a team; you will be the chief architect of physical intelligence.
Grant Real-World Agency: Lead the development of multimodal perception and control algorithms that allow AI agents to perceive, understand, and interact with the physical world in real-time.
Architect the Intersection: Oversee the integration of Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) with physical actuators, sensory arrays, and mobile robotics platforms.
Command the Space: Pioneer next-generation spatial computing systems that accurately model and understand complex real-world environments in 6DOF (SLAM, persistent digital twins, neural radiance fields).
Define the Interaction: Lead groundbreaking research on intuitive, safe, and context-aware human-AI collaboration in shared physical and spatial environments.
What You Bring to the Loom (Who You Are)
You are a systems synthesizer: You don't just know models; you know how they interface with perception hardware, kinematics, and control theory.
You speak the language of physics: Deep, practical experience with modern deep learning for perception, reinforcement learning for control, and a strong understanding of robotics fundamentals.
You are a master of space: Battle-tested experience with spatial mapping, AR/VR integration, digital twins, and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM).
You are provocatively ambitious: You have strong, defensible views on the transition of AI from virtual agents to physical partners. You’ve built systems that bridge this gap before.
